Are you on Windows? If so can you try running .\petsitting.exe --verbose from the command line and see if there's any output when this happens? Alternatively could you try doing .\petsitting.exe --rendering-driver opengl3 or ./petsitting.exe --rendering-driver vulkan? If none of these work could you give more details on if this happens on the main menu or only after pressing start, and what your hardware specs are?
This was an awesome short horror game my dude! I had no idea what to expect seeing a giant caterpillar named dog haha. When he bit me I thought it was gonna borrow into my chest, I didn't want to move him around anymore! It was fun taking care of him and trying to do the right choices, I have no idea how many endings there are but the one I got was so good! Was he an alien all along!? I had fun with this game and recommend completely! Here is my gameplay video, sub and help my channel grow everybody! :)
Wow!! That was so captivating. It was so creepy, and also so odd and unexplainable at the same time. I'm just really impressed with it. I hope to see more from you in the future. The atmosphere was incredible, and the creature was unsettling. Awesome job!!
Saludos!!!
Not a pet sitting I expected - great satire/horror with an interesting twist!
I really liked this one. The atmosphere was creepy at times. I felt very anxious and suspicious over the "pet" and the game left me with more questions than answers, specifically - who were we texting and why did we let go of the "pet" so easily. Not to mention their attitude was - questionable. Good execution and sound design as well.
Hey, unfortunately when I try this game it opens with a black screen for a second and then closes instantly so I cannot play it. My PC is more than up to date as is my GPU drivers (4080 Super).I tried running it from CMD but get no error messages just that it is using the godot engine. I also tried pasting in 'force-d3d12' in the target from a shortcut with no luck. If you have any other ideas that would be wonderful. The game looks so fun to play. :)
Darn, sorry to hear that. Can you try running from CMD with .\petsitting.exe --verbose and see the output there? Or if you haven't already, try running as administrator?
Hey, thanks for replying back! I did try running as admin.I also tried petsitting.exe --verbose and do get an output.
EDIT: I figured it out. Apparently the output said a certain program could be causing a conflict. Uninstalling it fixed it. Thank you so much for the help! I really appreciate it. Now I can play your game. :)

Bro did you done any marketting? Or, it's just natural, people found your game randomly and it came near the top of popular?
when i went to download this game windows stopped it for a trojan virus, please be careful!
Hi, are you having the "Windows protected your PC" message? If so, you should be able to press "More info" and then "Run anyway". It seems to be a documented issue: https://itch.io/blog/744096/code-signing-your-games-mainly-godot
not just that one! it was scanned bu virus software and it picked up a trojan file inside of it and it told me to not move forward with the download!
